[Piwik-hackers] installed, but hangs on 'loading data'

first, looks like a great project.
i installed it smoothly and added the javascript to my site.  i checked in
the database and there was a new entry for my visit, but when i go to piwik
and click on any of the tabs all i see is 'loading data' and it never loads
anything.  any idea why this might be?
